§ 8-33. Permit fees.

The building permit and inspection fee for residential and commercial structures erected in the county shall be computed in the following manner:

(1)

Residential valuations shall be based on the following:

Residential	Square Foot Valuation
Living area	$ 30.00
Garage	15.00
Screen porch	15.00
Open porch	11.25
Carport	11.25
Basement	13.50
Upper story	30.00
Driveway and patios	2.25

 

(2)

Commercial valuations shall be based on actual value, but not less than $10.00 per square foot without written approval of building department.

(3)

The amount of fees shall be as follows:

Valuation of Improvements	Fee
$100.00 to $2,500.00	Minimum fee $15.00
$2,501.00 to $15,000.00	$6.00 per $1,000.00
$15,001.00 to $100,000.00	$80.00 for the first $15,000.00 and $3.90 for each additional $1,000.00
$100,001.00 to $500,000.00	$431.50 for the first $100,000.00 and $1.95 for each additional $1,000.00
$500,001.00 to $1,000,000.00	$1,211.50 for the first $500,000.00 and $0.90 for each additional $1,000.00
Over $1,000,000.00	$1,661.50 for the first $1,000,000.00 and $0.45 for each additional $1,000.00
Demolition	$15.00
Moving	$37.50
